Home for the Holidays
We are excited to be taking our show home for the holidays with a special family concert in our childhood town of Nanaimo, BC. We’ll be hitting the stage at our high-school alma mater, Dover Bay Secondary this Saturday, December 12th at 2pm.

Having performed more than 300 live shows across Canada this past year alone, we’re looking forward to returning home for this event. The festivities are a perfect way to wrap up a crazy year and celebrate all of the wonderful musical adventures we’ve shared to date. With our newest album having received a 2009 Parent’s Choice Gold and a Western Canadian Music Award plus the whole Treehouse TV thing, getting an opportunity to celebrate with fans in our hometown will be amazing! Plus, we’ll be sharing the stage with our full band and both backing musicians are previous ‘islanders’ too. Mario Vaira will be on guitar and Mark Harvey on bass…the kiddie mosh will surely be rockin’!
We first met at a Girl Guide camp in the late 1980’s and following a fun-filled weekend of campfires, sing-a-longs and outdoor fun, a life-long friendship was sealed. We were both thrilled to end up at the same highschool (Dover Bay) a few years later - Bobs & Lolo were actually our highschool nicknames! We soon started performing together through numerous choir concerts and piano recitals, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Retro Bobs & Lolo (~16 yrs old) - not much has changed!
We hope to see some of you at the event this weekend, and regardless, we’ll be sure to post some pics on our Facebook Group next week. Happy holidays!

The years have been very kind to both of you - I couldn’t tell if that photo at Girl Guide camp was for real or something you did as a PR piece! Keep up the great sounds, awesome concerts and excellent messages in your songs!
Your admiring fans,
Lisa and Cale

Hi Lisa and Cale! The pic is definitely legit! A little past the girl guide years, but still nearly 15 years ago…time flies when you’re having fun!

Hi Connie! Sorry you are having a difficult time finding our music in your community. As indie artists, one of our biggest challenges has been connecting with new retailers. Being based on the west coast, we do have a large number of retail partners in BC, but branching beyond our home territory has been a slow process.
We have just started working with a distribution company based out of Guelph - Fire the Imagination (www.firetheimagination.ca). This company specializes in children’s music and book distribution, and we’re hopeful that they may be able to help get our music into your area soon!
In the meantime, you can order from one of our online retailers - there are a number of them listed on our blog at http://bobsandlolo.com/blog/2007/12/where-to-buy-our-cds-and-dvds/.
Thanks again!!

Hi ladies!
My daughter and I are very excited to be seeing you at the Aquarium this year. I was wondering if there will be time after each show for the kids to meet and take pictures with you? Thanks for all the great songs!

Hey Ladies,
My 3 year old daughter loves your music! I just downloaded Sea Notes from ITunes. I think your music could be voted most enjoyable by parents as it sounds like real music with beautiful harmonies and melodies. Thanks Bob’s and Lola for great music!
Sincerely,
Kathleen
